Dr. Mozzie Parker is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi. She attended D’Iberville High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.

After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Parker worked for the Mississippi Department of Agriculture as a veterinary medical officer for eight years. She trained meat inspectors to identify diseases in animals preserved for processing.

In September 2001, Dr. Parker established The Pet Clinic in Woolmarket, Mississippi. She excels as a diagnostician, and her special interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and breed-related medicine. Dr. Parker’s primary focus is to tailor treatments and preventative medicine to the needs of each patient. Always wanting to stay technologically advanced, Dr. Parker enjoys exploring new and improved ways of treating animals by attending continuing education seminars whenever possible.

Dr. Parker has been an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association since 1992; she has also been a member of the South Mississippi Medical Association since 2002, served as a past president of the organization, and has held her Mississippi veterinary license since 1990.

Dr. Parker and her husband, Donnie, have three sons: Jake, Grant, and Jesse. They also have two dogs — Drew, a Boston terrier mix; Patrick, a boxer; and Jello, a domestic long-haired cat. In her spare time, Dr. Parker enjoys motorcycle riding, reading, true crime stories, and container gardening. A fun fact about Dr. Parker is that she used to be a gymnast and taught gymnastics to children.
